Like a Candy Shop

Just as a follow-up to the blog I did a couple of weeks ago about Fortnum and Mason at Christmas, I wanted to share with you some pretty things from there that you might want to put on next year's Christmas wish list.

I think they have a fabulous selection of soaps and sachets,

unlike any I've seen before.

Isn't it just like a candy shop,

that entices you to indulge?

All flavors and for all tastes....

These soaps were probably my favorites of all...

but these were pretty special too.

Tell me what would you do if a guest actually used these soaps!!

Bouquets to you this new year!
Hope 2011 is a great one for you and your families!

  1. Each one is just so special!! Love the feathers!! I was in Switzerland and amazed by the candy stores there with little flowers on top of all the boxes...hundreds of them big and small...all different! You are right, they are unlike things here...that can be good and bad,...just different.

  2. Your blog has made me realize that the English do a lot of things as good as the French! And for me to say that... well, it's a lot! These photos are beautiful.

  7. I will tell you now that pretty soaps and handmade soaps are included in my lists of "My Only Weakness Is..."
These are incredible, and even looking at the pictures I am overwhelmed.
When guests have made any comments about not using a particularly nice soap, I have always encouraged them to use it, BUT the soaps did not look like these. Gluing them to the soap dish - maybe?

  8. I just can't believe these, Debi! How creative and lavish they are – I would NOT put them out for guests, I don't think. But I would give them as a gift to a guest and let them do what they wanted with them. I, of course, like the roses best.

Thank you for such a delightful shopping trip! – g
