Cupcake Time

Once upon a time, a Gigi and her Jordan took the afternoon off to make some "princess" cupcakes.

Wearing a royal princess dress and a sweet Cath Kidston apron,

it took a lot of concentration to make

cupcakes fit for a royal family.

Once in the oven, there was a bit of time to play

and wait until they came out just right.

While waiting for the cupcakes to cool, there was a chance for a spin around the room

and a twirl to the music.

Then when cool, they were ready to frost,

tasting a lick every now and then,

and then decorate

and display with pride. Which one should I taste?

Because tasting is the best part of all.

And when we're not baking cupcakes, we love playing Cupcakes by Maverick Software. So much fun to bake, decorate and "eat" delicious cupcakes on my iPhone. Truly a favorite of both of ours.

So that's the end of our cupcake story, and we all live happily ever after.

And because I'm an "equal opportunity" grandmother, I'll close out with a picture of this little "cupcake," sweet enough to eat: our little 10 month old Jackson!!

Sweet thoughts to all of you....

  7. So much fun! Jorja loves the Easy-Bake Oven app! You can mix, bake, and decorate cupcakes and cookies. They are delicious - almost as wonderful as the real thing... almost.

  9. Dear God above, this was so touching.

TO see a little girl with a doll again, makes my heart soar. I teach fourth graders and there are very few of them these days who care to still be little girls; they are more interested (at too young of an age) in boys and in being TOO GROWN UP TOO SOON. But this little wonder here is living out a grown-up dream, but in such an innocent way, that has touched me. Dearest, thank you for visiting my post. HAVE A PERFECT CUPCAKE DAY! Anita
