The news is out! Yesterday, Andrew Lloyd Webber held his press launch here in London for the sequel to The Phantom of the Opera. Titled Love Never Dies, the musical takes place in Coney Island 10 years after the story ends in the original Phantom. I jumped online and grabbed a couple of tickets for the March 15 show, a week after its premiere here in London. You can find all the details on the website by clicking here. The New York premiere will follow in November of 2010. Ramin Karimloo, who has previously played the Phantom here in London, will assume the role again for the premiere, and Sierra Boggess, who played Christine in Las Vegas will play the same lead role. Here is a video that was shown at the launch. If you don't have time to watch the whole thing, at least scroll over to the 11 minute mark to hear Ramin sing Till I Hear You Sing. It will give you goose bumps!

Oh yes, girlfriend, I can't wait! I'm so glad they shared this one song to tease us. I definitely got the "goose bumps" you described. I'm excited that you got tickets already and a little jealous! Any chance we could see it again if I visit in the Spring or will they all be sold out? Probably!
ReplyDeleteLori,
ReplyDeleteYou can always find them for the "right price" but maybe it won't come down to that. Once we have a plan, I'll look into seeing what is available.
